Anyone undertaking a renovation project will need to discard tiles, drywall, maybe a door or two, and some other stuff. Most of these items can fit nicely into one of our 10-yard dumpsters. However, you might need the 20-yard dumpster if the entire home is being renovated.
The 10-yard dumpster
Dimensions: 6-feet wide by 12-feet long by 4-feet tall
It is by far the smallest size dumpster you can hire, making it perfect for numerous DIY projects, including spring and yard cleaning. It can also hold a bit of debris, usually the amount generated during a small renovation project.
In a nutshell, the 10-yard roll-off dumpster is perfect for:
DIY spring cleaning projects
It is perfect for discarding old furniture, clothes, and debris
It can easily contain debris and drywall from a small renovation project
The 20-yard dumpster
Dimensions: 8-feet in width by 20-feet long by 4-feet tall
Now, if you’re undertaking a slightly larger project or suspect you’ll need a large dumpster, the 20-yard dumpster is the next size up! It’s twice the size of the 10-yard dumpster, which means it can hold a lot more waste.
In a nutshell, the 20-yard dumpster is perfect for:
Discarding mainly debris from a floor or roof replacement project
Discarding items that are leftover from a bedroom addition or perhaps a living room addition project
It can easily house items from a large deck and patio replacement job
You can also use it to discard old furniture like a couch, center table etc.

The 30-yard dumpster
Dimensions: 8-feet in width by 22-feet by 6-feet tall
The 30-yard dumpster is a good choice for anyone undertaking a large project. I can also accommodate the debris from two small projects like bathroom and kitchen remodeling. If you’re building a new small home, perhaps the 30-yard dumpster would be a good choice too.
The 40 yard dumpster
Dimensions: 8-feet wide by 22-feet long by 8-feet tall
It is the largest dumpster and is often used by many large commercial contractors. It is large enough to accommodate debris from a large-scale building project. That said, it is possible to order multiple 40-yard dumpsters for more extensive multi-storey demolition and construction projects. The only drawback, perhaps if you can call it, is that you need to find a suitable location.
If you need help choosing a roll-off dumpster for your project, do not hesitate to call us for assistance.
